Working with visual artist Joanna Kidney was a very rewarding experience for us. Delving into the process of a visual artist, their approach and aesthetic and how to convey this in a catalogue format.

The exhibition ‘We are hurtling into the future’ was a combination of a series of encaustic paintings, Metamurmuration a monumental site-specific installation and Skimming Stones, a collaborative video work with dance artist Liadain Herriott.

Our approach was a nuanced one, the design and layout was created to deliver the best platform to show off the works. Because the show was a culmination of three distinct strands of work we agreed that a typographic solution to the cover was the best approach keeping the visual impact for the interior of the publication.
